Cottonwood Grove plays traditional Old Time “stringband” music with a flavor that is uniquely their own.

Although Cottonwood Grove is an acoustic string band whose roots are steeped in Old Time music, each member of this group brings their own sound into the mix, often times giving it a slightly more modernized feel. While trying to stay true to the traditions of Old Time music, coming from diverse backgrounds, it’s no surprise that there are elements of Bluegrass music that spill over into the group’s overall sound. Depending on the need for the occasion, Cottonwood Grove has the flexible ability to blend in as part of the ambient background, become the drive behind the party, or even provide the groove for a traditional dance.
